The books were set in Middle-earth, the story tells about the Dark Lord Sauron, who is seeking the One Ring. The Ring has made a long journey towards Frodo Baggings. Frodo Baggings is a hobbit and lives in the Shire. He got the Ring from his uncle Bilbo Baggings, who got it in his journey which is described in the book "The Hobbit". The fate of Middle-earth lies with the mission of Frodo Baggings and his 8 companions. Who together form the fellowship of the ring.
Frodo needs to travel to Mount Doom in the middle of the lands of Mordor. To get here he needs to cover a large distance with many dangers. Therefore he gets accompanied by 8 companions. These 8 companions are: 1. Aragorn Elessar is a Dúnedain, son of Arathorn 2. Gimli, son of Glóin is a dwarve 3. Legolas Greenleaf is a Mirkwood elve, son of Thranduil 4. Gandalf is the grey wizard 5. The fellowship has a long road to cover and have to face many dangers. And at a certain point the fellowship breaks up and everyone has to do their own job to help Frodo to get to Mount Doom to throw the One Ring back into the fires and through destroy it. In the end there will be some awesome battles and it will have an happy ending, partly. It won't really be a happy ending, because there were a lot of losses but eventually the One Ring was destroyed and the Dark Lord Sauron was destroyed with it. In the end the last elves go away on a boat away from Middle-earth into a new land where they can live forever. But for this one time not only elves went on this boat, also a wizard and two Hobbits. The one Hobbit was the old uncle from Frodo, Bilbo Baggings. And the other Hobbit who was allowed to go on the boat was Frodo Baggings himself. Sam didn't like the fact that Frodo, his best friend, left but he had just gotten married with Rose Cotton and had children and they lived happily after. |
